DENNIS the Menace and his trusted dog Gnasher have hidden themselves somewhere in Bromsgrove - and it is up to the town's children to sniff them out.

The duo, and the rest of the Beano gang, are hidden in the windows of 10 town centre shops as part of a summer holiday treasure hunt.

The 'Mischief Makers Trail', which is led by the Reading Agency and libraries, is designed to encourage children to read this summer.

Nicki Hitchcock, Bromsgrove, Rubery and Catshill Library manager, said: "Bromsgrove Library is pleased to be working in partnership with local independent businesses in the High Street on our Mischief Makers Trail. Find a character in a shop window, get a stamp on your sheet and return the completed sheet to the library to be entered in a prize drawer.”
