THE condition of the bus stop outside Tesco, in Orchard Lane has been called "dreadful" by a local bus user.
The bench is in need of painting, with a great deal of bare wood exposed on the seating, and the bench itself appears to be a focus for litter.
As unsightly is the sub-surface plastic sheeting, much of which is now visible about the wood chip surface it is supposed to cover.
Local man, Robin Cullen said: "If a bus stop in the town centre was allowed to get into this state, people would be up-in-arms."
The stop is used extensively by people travelling to and from Gloucester, Redmarley and Newent.
The Highways Authority, Herefordshire Council was contacted for a comment.
