AFTER an excellent event in June, the free, summer bandstand programme continued into July with a special song and dance event.
Residents have already taken a trip back in time for June’s vintage day with the bandstand taking centre stage for a number of musical acts, vintage stalls and themed activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Now, they they got to enjoy performances from local choirs and dancers.
The event, on July 14, saw performances from Primrose Choir, Redditch Choral Society, Nancy Butterfly Dancers, Redditch Gospel Choir, Artrix Songstars show choir, Redditch Dance School, Music in Motion, and Arrow Vale Singers Community Choir.
Redditch councillor Bill Hartnett said all who attended had a great time.
"We were treated to a wealth of talent, as well as beautiful sunshine," he said.
"We had choirs with voices of all ages, and dance groups also covering a wide age range. There was also a range of stalls with face painting, a tombola, and cake stands."
