MALVERN Male Voice Choir is teaming up with Worcester-based Sanctuary Group Choir and the junior choir at Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, for the Three Choir Special, a gala concert at the church.
Sanctuary Group Choir and Malvern Male Voice Choir were originally due to perform together in March, but the performance was cancelled by bad weather when the Beast from the East met Storm Emma.
Now is has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 9, with three choirs on the same evening, and a packed programme that includes songs from six musicals including Les Miserables, songs from TV and film, a few pop favourites, as well as two Welsh choir standards and something composed in 1595.
Charles Pavey, director of music at Holy Trinity, said: "This concert at Holy Trinity is an annual event and is a glorious way to spend a Saturday evening as we approach midsummer.
"The male voice choir and Holy Trinity’s junior choir are regular performers at these concerts, so it is a pleasure to welcome our special guest, Sanctuary Group Choir, which will add a new musical dimension to the occasion.”
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 (18s and under free), including light refreshments and can be bought in advance from Burley’s Hairdressers, Worcester Road, Great Malvern or from 01684 561126. Tickets will also be available on the door. Proceeds will be in support of Holy Trinity Church.
