THE lineup for a popular vale festival has been announced.

Under The Hill Fest in Ashton-Under-Hill took place for the first year, drawing in crowds from across the area.

DJ, A.Skillz, well-known for mixing songs across genres such as hip hop, soul, funk, and rock with dubstep, drum and bass, and electro will headline the festival.

A.Skillz has sold out tours across the globe, been voted best ‘mini mix’ by BBC Radio 1 listeners, clocked up over six million plays on his Soundcloud page, and was awarded with the title 'Best DJ' in February 2012 at the Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards.

Under The Hill will continue to support the local community and to that end will be holding both a band and DJ competition , giving local amateur musicians the opportunity to play at Under The Hill Fest.

Entrants must live in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire, aged 18 or over, and be available for battle of the bands date on Friday May 11 at Amber Bar in Evesham as well as for the festival on Saturday May 26. To enter, bands must fill in the online form.

There will also be a DJ competition.

This is a music festival for all ages and Under The Hill welcomes families who can not only enjoy the music, but also take part in crafts, join the fancy dress theme, watch live circus performers, and get their faces painted.

Mista Trick, DJ and artist director of Under The Hill Fest said: “Last year we were blown away by the support and feedback from those that took part in the first Under The Hill.

"We can’t wait to welcome more people to the event, with more incredible acts, representing a huge spectrum of musical diversity. It can be tough to find a festival that balances top music, with intimacy and personality, but that’s exactly what we want to achieve with under The Hill Fest."

This year Under The Hill Fest will be open from Friday May 25 until Sunday May 27.

There will be a chilled out evening of music, film, and meeting new faces on the Friday.

The main music will take place on the Saturday, with diversity including Brass, Ska, Balkan, Electroswing, Hip Hop, and Gypsy Punk.

This will be topped off by another rave in the woods, with DJs in Drum and Bass, Electro, and Funk.

Standard tickets cost £45 for camping from Friday to Sunday.

A free shuttle service from the two nearby train stations will be provided.
