THE staff of a digging and groundworks firm gave up their Sunday to battle the elements, giving lifts in the snow to doctors, nurses and the vulnerable.
Using JWH Diggers' two 4x4s, John Hadley was just one of the generous heroes to trek from the firm's base in Malvern across the county.
The Met Office reported the snow was as deep as 25cm in places, following the return of the Beast from the East on Saturday, with showers and a cold snap continuing into Sunday.
Speaking on Sunday, Mr Hadley told the Worcester News, "the drifting snow over the other side of the [Malvern] Hills were taller than my truck".
He said he took a local district nurse "round the outskirts of Malvern" and picked up a midwife from Bromyard, taking her home to Clifton.
Mr Hadley, who said Clifton was as far as he went, also towed two cars out of the snow, in what was quite an eventful day,
