FIRE crews in Kidderminster tackled an unattended bonfire in Wolverley last night, less than an hour after being called out to a settee on fire in a back garden.
Emergency services were alerted to smoke in Eddy Road in Kidderminster at 8.45pm on Saturday night (June 24) and dispatched a fire engine to the scene.
On arrival, firefighters found a settee 'well alight' in a rear garden and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
At 9.41pm, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service received a call about a fire in the open on Sladd Lane in Wolverley.
A bonfire had been left unattended and had spread across five square metres of land.
The blaze was also described as 'well alight' and was extinguished using a hose reel jet.
No one was reported injured in either incidents.
