POLICE in Kidderminster are appealing to residents following an incident of animal cruelty.

West Mercia Police received reports that a cat in the Larches Road area had sustained an injury, from what is suspected to be a pellet gun.

It is believed the incident took place between the evening of Thursday, April 20, and the morning of Friday, April 21.

Pet owners in Larches Road and the surrounding areas are warned to be vigilant regarding any suspicious activity.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have any more information that could help with their enquiries. 

Witnesses are asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 313S of April 21.
