A REDDITCH woman will be putting her best foot forward to raise vital cash for charity.

Helen Tuite, of Church Hill North, is taking part in the Solihull Half Marathon on April 2 to raise money and awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in memory of her late father, Jim Tuite.

Jim suffered with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for more than 40 years and was looked after all of that time by his wife Norah.

Helen said "My father was diagnosed with MS when he was 42, and suffered for over 40 years. I just want to do my bit to help other people who have this terrible disease."

She added: "The money raised will go to the local Solihull MS branch, which provides help, guidance and practical support for those people suffering with MS and their families. So your money really can make a difference.

"Please dig deep and give what you can for this very worthy cause, and help other people like my dad."

MS affects more than 100,000 people in the UK.

Local branches of the Multiple Sclerosis Society provide practical help, support groups, and advice for people with MS.
