DINERS in the café at Ludlow Methodist Church will have noticed some changes.

It is now 10 years since the first redevelopment of the church and the launch of Wesley's cafe.

The improvements that have just been completed were made possible by the generous legacy of Geoff Davies.

These included extending the lift down into the church area, installing internal access to the cellar and boiler room, replacing the old worn out windows, re-roofing the two back cottages and putting in solar panels.

The balcony has been improved to high safety standards and to help accommodate comfortably capacity crowds at services and events.

A new office was constructed overlooking Broad Street is intended to help to ensure smooth running of the church and its continual and increasing use by the community.

Wesley's Cafe has been re-modelled and refurbished to commercial standards to ensure a continuous and long lasting welcome over the next decade years to its regular and new customers.

Paul Draper, the Mayor of Ludlow, cut a ribbon to mark the completion of the work and had a tour of the building.
