ADVERTISING banners for events, similar to banners seen in Upton and Tewkesbury, could soon be on Ledbury's streets.
At a recent meeting of the town's Events Working Party, Cllr Keith Francis made the suggestion of permanent advertising banners in the town, on street lighting poles.
The banners could be used to advertise events such as The Big Breakfast, The Ledbury Poetry Festival and Ledbury Carnival.
Ledbury Town Council is to contact the town councils of Upton and Tewkesbury "for information as to banner costs and suppliers".
One idea is to pay for the banners through the £10,000 of Portas fund money, given to the town several years ago.
The administrators of the fund will be asked if money could be used to help promote the town with banners.
