POPULAR community event Bromsgrove’s Big Draw is returning to the town as part of the Bromsgrove Festival on Saturday, July 9.

The Big Draw is setting up at the Methodist Centre on Stratford Road, and people of all ages and abilities are being invited to drop in at any time between 10am and 2.30pm and take part by drawing, doodling or colouring as much or as little as they like.

The Big Draw is being supported by Bromsgrove Library where visitors will be able to design their own postcards to be displayed at an event on July 9.

Laura Brodrick, co-ordinator of Bromsgrove’s Big Draw, said: “We’re really excited to be back with a new carnival theme which we hope will inspire some vibrant drawings from Bromsgrove’s community. I would love to hear from anyone who would like to help on the day, especially people with artistic talents they could share.”

Bromsgrove’s Big Draw is a voluntary project, and has been supported by a number of local organisations including Bromsgrove Festival, Cass Art, Charles Lovell & Co., Bromsgrove Library, Charles Howell, What!, Robert Oulsnam, Morrisons, Santander, Artyfacts, ASDA and Bromsgrove Methodist Centre.

People are being encouraged to get in touch with their creativity by taking part in everything from life drawing, family drawing, and a really big community picture which will capture the fun of Bromsgrove Carnival with a theme of carnivals, festivals, street parties, fairs and fetes.

Art materials will be provided at the Methodist Centre along with refreshments until 12.30pm and the venue is accessible for disabled people.
