A KIDDERMINSTER man raised more than £900 for a cancer charity by walking from London to Brighton.
Wayne Hall, of Rangeways Road, completed the 60 mile walk in 24 hours and 15 minutes and raised £902 for Cancer Research UK.
Mr Hall said: “The walk was tough in parts – the night section was a challenge but it was great to see the sun rise over the South Downs.
“The whole event was put together very well and I would walk again if someone would sponsor me.
“The amount of money people have donated is fantastic and I am overwhelmed by their generosity – let’s hope the money helps to make people better.
“I would like to thank my family and friends, work colleagues at Openreach, the people at Franche School and the Franche Co-Op store for their help and sponsorship with the London to Brighton challenge.”
