POLICE in Bromsgrove and Redditch are appealing for further witnesses who might have information about a serious collision on the Bromsgrove Highway involving a vintage motorbike.

The collision took place at 5.35pm on Friday, October 30 on the A448, when a motorcyclist, riding a vintage Royal Enfield bike, travelling toward Redditch was in collision with a VW Passat.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries in the collision, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the Volkswagen is currently assisting police with their enquiries, but officers are hoping that since the incident took place at rush hour, on a busy route, that other drivers or passers-by might have witnessed the collision, and be able to provide further information.

Anyone who saw the collision take place, or was in the area just before or after it occurred, should contact West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 509S of October 30.
