THE next talk from the Bromsgrove Society is taking place on Tuesday, November 17and is called ‘Bournheath Village – What of its Past?’.
Historians Trevor Bott and Chris Lloyd will go into detail regarding village life in Bournheath and how the village developed from a collective of early squatters, and how they were affected by the Enclosure Act of 1799, and the Tithe Map apportionment of 1840, as well as looking into early census records for clues about the people living in the village.
There will also be some information about some of the trades and occupations undertaken in the village during the 19th century, some notable buildings, and one or two notable people who were born in the village.
The talk will be taking place on Tuesday, November 17 from 7.45pm at the Bromsgrove Methodist Centre.
Parking on nearby School Drive is free.
