BROMSGROVE’S Remembrance Parade is taking place on Sunday, November 8 in the town centre, with people mustering for the procession at the top of the high street outside Argos from 10.20am, ready to start at 10.35am.

The parade will proceed along the high street, turning to give an ‘eyes left’ at the Oddfellows Memorial, before turning right into Church Street, crossing Market Street to Church Close, and continuing on to the new monument on Crown Close.

A remembrance service will be taking place outside at 10.50am with the act of remembrance and the laying of the wreaths at 11am, when people will be asked to take their wreaths and place them around the monument.

The service should finish at approximately 12 noon.

Once the outside wreaths have been laid, further wreaths will be laid inside St John’s Church, where anyone is welcome to attend.

Following the service, the parade will disperse, and all of those taking part are invited to the Millfield Club, where light refreshments and live entertainment will be provided for the participants.

Any community organisations wishing to take part in the parade should have contacted Royal British Legion branch chairman Patrick Smith on 07949 789841.

In the event of wet weather, the complete church service will be conducted inside St John’s Church.
