BROMSGROVE’S Early Help service was having some spooky fun last week with its first ever Halloween party.

The service which works with families in Bromsgrove and Redditch with children from 0 to 19, held a two-hour party at the Hungry Horse pub for children of all ages.

The party was sponsored by the local branch of Asda, which provided fancy dress costumes for all the staff, and youngsters got to enjoy making witches and wizard hats and paper plate masks. They also decorated biscuits, as well as fun activities including pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, putting their hands in a feely box and getting up close and personal with some creepy encounters.

Louise Hall, community development co-ordinator for the Early Help service, said: “We can’t thank Asda enough for their support with the Halloween parties. The children had an absolute ball with all the activities on offer and so did the parents. The staff had a blast too in their full on fancy dress.”

Asda donated £227 to Bromsgrove and Redditch Early Help as well as providing fancy dress costumes for all the staff involved in the day.
