THE annual bonfire, fireworks and music spectacular is taking place in Sanders Park this weekend.

The event will include a firework display, a fun fair, and musical entertainment from local bands Funfair, The Candy Dolls, and Dan Bradley. The headline act will be Birmingham based turbo-folk-thrash-punk-pop band The Destroyers, who promise 13 crazed musicians sporting every instrument from horns and fiddles to guitars and whistles in an explosive gypsy-punk orchestra of energy and sound.

The gates will open at Sanders Park from 5pm on Saturday, November 7 when the funfair will be open, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm, and the fireworks display will be starting at 7.30pm.

Entry is £5 for adults, and £3 for children aged 16 and under. Family tickets for two adults and two children are £14, and tickets are available to buy in advance from the Bromsgrove District Council Customer Service Centre and the Primrose Hospice shops town centre stall, which will be open on November 6 and 7. People can also buy their tickets on entry, but all payment must be in cash.

Parking is available at the nearby Hanover Street car park or the Churchfields multi-storey car park, but there is no on-site parking available, and Kidderminster Road will be closed from 5-9pm for the safety of everyone attending the event.
