THERE’S talent on show at the Artrix Centre with an exhibition of work from the members of Bromsgrove Photographic Society.

The exhibition has more than 60 prints of work from members on display, with a main focus on 37 framed pictures showing contemporary styles of photography.

The exhibition is up until October 25, and members have already enjoyed an opening night, where they were welcomed by the society’s chairman Roger Lewis, and president Barry Green.

The pictures for the exhibition were selected from more than 200 entries, by a team including David Lowe, the chairman of the London Salon of Photography, who recently taught photography at North Bromsgrove High School, well-known local artist and chairman of the Bromsgrove Arts Society, Tony Turpin.

Bromsgrove Photographic Society has recently experienced a surge in numbers with more than 80 photographers meeting up to share their work and learn new skills. The society meets at Avoncroft Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings, and enjoys a varied programme of presentations, and a series of courses covering basic aspects of digital photography and computer work.
