AN open air theatre production of Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale The Three Musketeers is set to take place in Coughton Court.

The National Trust property near Alcester is providing the backdrop to the summer evening performance on Saturday, August 8.

People are being invited to bring along a picnic and enjoy a musical adaptation of the classic story with action, swordfights, original songs and romance.

The performance is being put on by Boxtree Productions.

Company co-founder James Franklin said: “We want to tell good stories that will engage, enthral and excite audiences whatever the venue.

“You’ve seen the BBC television series, now come and see the live version at Coughton Court, a fine Tudor home to the Throckmorton Family for more than 600 years.”

Refreshments will be available on site from the Stables Coffee Bar and the Coach House Shop.

Gates open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.

Ticket cost £15.75 for adults, £8.40 for children and £40 for families.
