POLICE in Bromsgrove are appealing for information after a boy stole an iPod from in front of the owner.

The incident occurred on Saturday, May 9 at approximately 6.30pm in the park on Green Park Road, while the victim was sitting on the grass waiting for some friends to arrive.

He had his iPod lying on the ground next to him, and an unknown male ran up to him from behind, grabbing the iPod, before running off in the direction of Finstall First School.

The victim chased after the thief who is described as male, 5ft tall, and approximately 12 years old, rugby tackling him to the ground.

The offender stated that he did not have the iPod, before running off.
