COMMUNITY groups from across the borough are being urged to take up stalls at two of the town's biggest annual events.

The Green Fair in June and Morton Stanley Festival in August both provide opportunities for community and craft stalls to display their wares for a captive audience.

Each year the two events draw in thousands of visitors and Redditch Borough Council are urging community and craft stalls to come along and show off their goods and services.

John Godwin, head of leisure services, said: “Both of these events are well attended every year and provide an excellent opportunity for groups to make the most of the captive audience. We are delighted to once again be able to offer space to craftspeople or groups that feel they could bring something to the events and are encouraging anyone interested to get in touch to see how they can get involved.”

This year The Green Fair will take place on June 28 at Arrow Valley Park and Morton Stanley Festival will take place on August 22 and 23.

The Green Fair is taking place in partnership with Redditch Lions and will have a host of activities for visitors to get involved in, such as the Green Ape smoothie bike, pony rides, crazy golf, barn owls and Motorbikes. Visitors can also watch local cadets battle it out for the Lions Trophy.

Morton Stanley Festival will once again bring a host of live music to Morton Stanley Park with a wide variety of acts across the two days.

There will be a number of community and craft stalls together with children’s activities. This year the army recruitment team will be bringing their climbing wall and various other regiments will also be attending.
