ST John’s Church in Bromsgrove is to receive a new vicar as the Rev Ray Khan will be licensed as team vicar in the Bromsgrove parish on Thursday, April 23.
The Rev Khan is coming to the parish with his wife Caroline, his son Nathan, and his daughter Bethany, from a position as assistant curate in Tamworth in the diocese of Lichfield, and before his ordination, he was a Church Army evangelist for 19 years, serving in inner city London, and then as a candidate secretary for Church Army.
He said: “I am looking forward to meeting the people and organisations of Bromsgrove to work together to make the town a great place for all, to share joy, friendship and the possibilities that God can bring.”
Bromsgrove team rector, the Rev Christine Holzapfel, added: “Ray is a talented minister and full of enthusiasm. I am sure we will benefit greatly from his ministry amongst us.”
