CHILDREN from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School in Rubery were making their faces look funny for money to raise funds for Comic Relief.

Some staff and children dressed up in silly clothes, wearing jumpers and trousers inside out and back to front, while others dressed as animals or in other silly costumes.

For a snack, children also made their own red nose treats out of rice cakes and fruit and vegetables, taking a trip to a local supermarket the day before Red Nose Day to buy supplies, so they could prepare the party food themselves.

The children also learned about Kenya, and how children live there without proper housing, water or electricity, and without toys of their own.

Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker, said: “The children have had lots of fun being involved in Comic Relief.”
