THIS Easter Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold is veering away from the usual chocolate eggs, and teaming up with local cheese producers Croome Cuisine to produce its very own cheese-ter egg.

The egg, which is made from Webbs honey and ginger cheese, with a Whittington red cheese centre, encased in bees' wax, and speckled with different coloured wax, is being raffled off by the garden centre for £1 a ticket, with raffle tickets being sold up to March 30, when the winner will be announced.

To enter the raffle people have to guess the weight of the egg, with all the proceeds from the competition being donated to St Richard’s Hospice.

Leanne Hodgetts, business development manager at Croome Cuisine, said: “This charity is very close to our hearts after a very close family member passed away here three years ago. The care and support they gave her and us will never be forgotten and we would love to give something back to them to show our appreciation.”
