FIRST Finstall Brownies are holding a charity quiz night to raise money for the group.

The Brownie pack has 28 members from seven to 10 years old, and provides educational and fun activities for them each week.

The quiz is taking place on Friday, May 8 from 7.30pm at the Boat and Railway Inn in Stoke Prior, and will include a buffet and a raffle with some fantastic prizes on offer. Including a trip for four to Hatton Country World.

One of the Brownie leaders, Claire Edwards, said: “I would urge the local community to show their support for the group and book their tickets now. The Brownies group is such an integral part of the girls’ lives and we hope Bromsgrove residents will come out in force to show their appreciation to all the volunteers at Girlguiding along with their groups. We are extremely grateful for the hospitality of The Boat and Railway Inn for allowing us to hold this event at their premises and hope to see many in attendance for a fun and family friendly evening.”

Dan Willis, landlord at The Boat and Railway, added: “As a local business we are happy to support local charity groups and feel it is particularly important to support those, such as Girl Guiding organisations who are promoting such a positive message and providing such encouragement to our next generation.”

Tickets for the quiz are £3 for adults and £1 for children with children under three entering for free. To book, contact Claire Edwards at firstfinstallbrownies@hotmail.com or tickets can be purchased from behind the bar at The Boat and Railway Inn.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer to help out with Rainbows, Brownies or Guides, can register their interest at girlguidingworcs.org.uk.
