THE Basement Project is holding a spring fair on Saturday, March 21 in the youth hall of Catshill Methodist Church.

The fair will feature stalls selling nearly new items of clothing, as well as jewellery, books, CDs and DVDs, cakes and bric-a-brac.

There will also be stalls selling bags, scarves and toys, and a coffee shop offering refreshments.

Basement’s operations manager, Jackie Hooper, said: “We are very grateful for this extra support from Catshill Methodist Church. It comes at a time when the county councils budget cuts are being felt by many organisations including us, and we really do need to raise extra finances to cover the general overheads of the project, which are not paid for by any local authority grant, so all support to cover these costs are of great value to us.”
