HEREFORD Football Club are inviting applications for the manager's position for next season.

The club, who this week were granted the leases at Edgar Street in the wake of Hereford United being wound up, have to apply to a be placed in a league by this Sunday.

Applicants have until 5pm on Thursday (March 5) to apply.

Pete Beadle, who masterminded United's great escape last season before the club were thrown out of the Conference over mounting debts, has already stated he would be interested in the post.

Other possible names in the frame could be ex-Bulls Rob Purdie, who is currently in charge of Hereford United in the Community, and Jimmy Harvey.

John Layton, who was youth development manager at Edgar Street, and Westfields manager Sean Edwards may also have their backers..
