STAFF and pupils at Lickey End First School were feeling wrapped up and cozy while raising money for a good cause as part of ‘Wear your Onesie to School Day’ last month.
The event was organised after one nine-year-old pupil Jude Marshall, mentioned at school that he had worn his onesie for most of the Christmas holidays.
Acting headteacher Rachel Higgins suggested that the children might all be allowed to wear their onesies to school for a day, if they could raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
As a result the children decided to leave their uniforms at home for the day and instead make a donation to the British Red Cross to support the treatment of Ebola in west Africa, and wear their own onesies to school.
Oliver Hawketts, aged eight, said: "It felt strange walking out of the house in a onesie but it was for a good cause."
All together the children managed to raise an impressive £168.04 for the charity.
