PEOPLE who work with young people across Bromsgrove, Redditch and Droitwich could be up for an award next year with nominations opening for the annual Tryangle Awards.

The awards, which are now in their 10th year, celebrate young volunteers and carers across the county aged between 11 and 19 referred to as the ‘tryers’ who volunteer in their schools, or at clubs or in the community or caring for others.

According to Worcestershire Council for Voluntary Youth Service, which is organising the awards, they aim to recognise ‘unsung heroes, those young people who have often overcome challenges or hardships in order to be able to volunteer’.

People can nominate a young person for the awards between now and February 13 next year, with those chosen to receive an award being invited to a presentation evening at the end of March in Worcester.
