A KENYAN charity set up by a Bromsgrove man could face closure if fails to gain another 40 sponsors.

Billy Jones moved to Kenya more than a year ago to set up Our Home Nakuru, a community focused organisation with an orphanage its centre.

Speaking to the Advertiser, his sister Polly said if the target is not achieved then the home would be forced to close and the children would be sent back to their families, some of which are not stable.

In a video about the charity's progress, Billy said: “Everything we have done so far would not have been possible if it weren’t for you, our supporters.

“Every penny raised goes directly to the children. All we need to keep the budget going is just another 40 donors all giving £15 a month which will provide enough income to see the project through and get these kids back where they belong, in their own homes.

“The great news is our children and families are responding really well and are right on track for full rehabilitation in the next 18 months.”
