GHOST story author Dave Shelton brought his spooktacular tales to life when he stopped off to talk to students at a Kingswinford school.
The popular writer and illustrator, who rocketed into the children's literature scene when he won the 2013 Branford Boase Award for A Boy and a Bear and a Boat, stopped off at Crestwood School on October 22.
The Leicester-born author and creator of the comic strip 'Good Dog, Bad Dog' hosted a presentation and question and answer session for year seven pupils from Crestwood and year six youngsters from neighbouring Bromley Hills Primary School.
He also signed copies of his latest spooky read - Thirteen Chairs, a collection of ghost stories which was published on September 4 by David Fickling Books.
Primary school pupil Cary Scrivens from Kinver's Brindley Heath Junior School also got to meet the author after winning a prize at Crestwood's recent open evening.
