A HOST of displays, events and activities are being held in Sandwell libraries during November to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
People visiting Blackheath Library, on Armistice Day, Tuesday November 11, will get the chance to find out about their First World War ancestors with help from the Friends of Rowley Libraries.
They will help people research the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the National Archives websites, download war diaries and soldiers' wills between 2pm and 4pm.
The Last Post will be played at 3pm as a tribute to those from the area who lost their lives in the Great War, which will be marked by members of the Royal British Legion and local Salvation Army.
Oldbury Library will host a remembrance coffee morning from 10.45am until noon on Armistice Day when a minute’s silence will be observed.
