BROMSGROVE and Droitwich Libraries are about to launch a new leisure programme of courses in art and creative crafts this September involving local artists, specialists and tutors.

The new programme includes courses in cake decorating, jewellery making, computing, photography, languages and lifestyle skills including reflexology, Tai Chi and yoga.

All materials are included in the course prices, and anyone can sign up for any of the creative courses by popping into the library or by calling 01905 822722.

Cllr Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member for localism and communities, said: "This is a really exciting time for the libraries and learning service. Our new leisure programme offers a really good selection of courses for people to explore their creative side and to have fun whilst learning. The leisure learning programme is a great extension of our existing adult learning programme which we have built up and which has become so successful.

"By offering both programmes we hope to further broaden peoples access to learning so that there are even more opportunities for everyone to take part and to benefit as a result."
