MORE than 175 youth theatre members will take over Herefordshire's centre for the arts.

The Courtyard in Hereford is staging its Ignite Day on Sunday, June 29 and the Edgar Street venue's youth theatre members aged between 11 and 21 will be given the opportunity to experience and develop a range of theatrical skills via workshops, such as mask work to circus skills and script writing to stage combat.

Jonathan Brew, trustee and senior partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, said: "It was a pleasure to be able to give money towards the high quality, imaginative and ambitious arts provision that the Courtyard promotes.

"We very much look forward to celebrating the success of drama students at the awards presentation too.”

The day will end with an awards ceremony and a performance by The Courtyard’s senior youth theatre members.
