A PUBLIC meeting will be held to seekresidents' views on how they would like to see Kirkby Lonsdale developover the next five years.
Chairman Alan Day wants the parishcouncil to formulate a five-year plan.
"Without some definiteplans we could be just moving on hand to mouth.
I would liketo see us planning ahead," he told the latest meeting.
Theidea had been welcomed by South Lakeland District Council.
Theparish council would also build up a balance of savings, which could beused for extra works such as improving facilities for disabled peoplearound the town, added Coun Day.
A public meeting will be heldon Wednesday, September 20, when local people can have their say on whatthey would like to see included in theplan.
