The Victoria Ground had been assessed and passed by league bosses to stage GM Vauxhall Conference football.

Staff and manager Bobby Hope had been preparing for football in the division, but it had emerged that Fisher Athletic had been successful in an appeal after their ground had originally been rejected. As they finished as champions and ahead of Rovers, the London club would take the Bromsgrove’s club’s place in the division.
