Motorists warned of parking fine scam

WYCHAVON District Council is warning motorists about a car parking fine scam.
The scam involves the use of a genuine company’s name – www.PenaltyChargeNotice.co.uk – but involves motorists receiving bogus CCTV tickets.
These bogus tickets are sent from the e-mail address cctv.enforcement@penaltychargenotice.co.uk.
This e-mail address does not belong to the company www.PenaltyChargeNotice.co.uk.
Motorists should be aware that parking tickets are never issued by e-mail, that parking tickets always contain details of the vehicle and the registration number and are left on the vehicle’s window, and that no Worcestershire authority uses this company.
