A FAMILIAR piece of art to users of Droitwich’s canal network has been removed in preparation for a new display.
A mural of a great white shark at Netherwich basin was taken down on Monday by members of Droitwich Arts Network.
The free space will now be used to house a new art project next year.
The group would like suggestions from the public for the subject of a new mural.
A small prize will be given to the best picture submitted by January 7, 2013.
The new mural will be 64 feet wide and eight feet high and should be interesting and amusing and have links to Droitwich Spa.
Anyone with a design idea should contact dan@droitwichspa.com or call Peter Hawkins on 07766 415094.
