DOG lovers in Droitwich are being asked if they can find a home for a springer spaniel that hates to be left on his own.
Peter, an eight year old liver and white spaniel, is currently in the care of RSPCA Worcester and has severe separation anxiety problems. It means he needs a special home that meets his specific needs.
“He is completely house trained but does like to sleep on the bed or furniture rather than his own bed. He is absolutely committed to his owner and is a total shadow. He does, however, have severe separation anxiety problems and barks and cries when left on his own,” said Anne Rees, who is looking after him for the charity.
“Peter loves to play fetch and always has something in his mouth. He sits and gives his paw and he loves his walks.
“Peter loves car journeys, although he barks excitedly for about 20 seconds as he's associated car journeys with really exciting walkies, but he settles down and travels well. He's happier to sit and wait in the car rather than stay at home alone.
“Altogether he's a very happy-go-lucky, faithful companion who would suit a couple or family with older children who are around a lot, he is not happy to be left in the house alone, but is quite content in the car,” she added.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and wormed.
Anyone who would be interested in finding a home for him should call Geraldine on 01886 822083.
