JOB hunters in Droitwich and Bromsgrove will be able to pick up advice and information next month with a county-wide jobs fair.

The Worcestershire Jobs Fair is taking place on Wednesday, September 12, and will be packed with representatives from more than 30 employers, bringing more than 500 jobs, including full-time, part-time and weekend work, as well as seasonal Christmas jobs.

People will be able to find information on vacancies as wide ranging as retail, social care, driving, administration, and design, as well as positions in everything from engineering, to personal training and construction work.

The fair is running from 10am to 6pm at the Guildhall in Worcester City Centre, and local businesses including Webbs of Wychbold, David Lloyd, Debenhams, Oakland International Limited, Worcester Bosch, Argos, Thomas Vale, KFC, Ringway, Sanctuary Housing, Worcestershire County Council , and Shaw Healthcare have already signed up to attend.

The fair is the first of its kind to be organised by Worcestershire County Council in partnership with Job Centre Plus and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership.

Sue Crow, Worcestershire County Council economic development manager, said: "The response we've had so far from businesses has been fantastic. There's already more than 500 roles on offer on the day and because of the range of different job types there should be something of interest to every person in Bromsgrove and Droitwich looking for employment or a change of career path.

"I'd like to encourage everyone interested to make a note in their diaries and come along on the day. There's every chance it could be the best decision they make this year."

Free exhibition spaces are still available for local businesses that wish to attend on the day. For more information visit worcestershire.gov.uk/jobsfairbooking or call 0300 123 1440.
