A BEAUTIFUL garden in Droitwich Spa is set to open its gates to the public.
Malley and David Terry’s garden at 24 Alexander Avenue will be open for the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) on Sunday, July 1.
It has been designed to give a feeling of space and tranquillity with borders with rare plants and shrubs, sweeping curves of lawns and paths to a small woodland area with a variety of shade loving plants and over 100 clematis varieties interlacing the surrounding high hedges. In addition there are drought tolerant plants in the south facing front gravel garden together with Alpine filled troughs.
The garden at Alexander Avenue was in the top ten small gardens to visit in an article in the Daily Telegraph in 2009 and has been featured in The Good Garden Guide. It can be found just one mile south of Droitwich towards Worcester off the A38 and will be open from 2 to 6 pm with admission costing £3 for adults. Private visits are also welcome by appointment.
