In Droitwich, the council will be organising a party for the crowds that gather to witness the once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

People from Droitwich, Bromsgrove and Worcester have been chosen to carry the torch through the town.

The ‘Party in the Square’ event will take place in Victoria Square from 4 to 6.30pm.

The packed programme offers live music from W-Factor finalists, Wychavon's Youth Music Project, demonstrations and performances from community groups, face painting, street entertainment and various other information stands from groups in the area.
