A UNIQUE chance to name a beautiful, new pink rose is being offered in a special competition to mark the 75th anniversary of Webbs garden centre in Wychbold.

Staff at Webbs are expecting the competition to be extremely popular with customers. Previous Webbs name a rose competitions have seen more than 1,000 people put forward their suggestions.

Webbs will be donating £1 from the purchase price of each of the newly named roses sold this year to its chosen charities, St Richard’s Hospice and Acorns Children’s Hospice, both in Worcester; Primrose Hospice, Bromsgrove; Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge and Kemp Hospice in Kidderminster.

The lucky person who chooses the name that the judges think best celebrates Webbs 75th anniversary will win ten of the newly named roses plus a £50 Webbs gift voucher.

The newly named rose will be on sale exclusively from Webbs from the end of May. The closing date for entries will be Friday, April 20. Entries can be made by post, online at webbsdirect.co.uk or to Webbs, Wychbold or Webbs, West Hagley.

Webbs Executive Chairman Ed Webb said: "This year we are celebrating our 75th anniversary at Wychbold. The competition is a lovely opportunity to name such a beautiful rose and celebrate this great milestone. We are hoping that once named and on sale the rose will be a sought after addition to gardens and help raise funds for very important local charities.”
