WYCHAVON councillors have agreed to defer a decision on a controversial planning application to build 61 new homes in Wychbold.
Persimmon Homes has submitted the application to build the homes, which include a mixture of bungalows and two to four bedroom houses, on land off Crown Lane.
But the plans received criticism from villagers, with Wychavon District Council receiving 30 letters of objection.
The application had been recommended for approval, subject to conditions, with a decision expected to be made by members of the council’s planning committee at its last meeting, held yesterday, (March 1).
But councillors agreed to defer a decision to allow for more information to be gathered, for when the application comes before the committee at a future meeting.
