HUNDREDS of visitors turned out to watch Santa arrive in style on his reindeer-pulled sleigh at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold on Saturday.
Despite the drizzle crowds lined the car park as Santa arrived before hundreds took the chance to meet the friendly reindeer.
The day also saw the launch of ‘A Tinkerdoodle Christmas’ 3D cinema experience at Webbs. All the shows were a sell-out with an extra show being laid on to meet demand. More than 900 people met Father Christmas and his chief Elf before donning 3D glasses to watch the fun story of Christmas Eve unfold in the 3D animated film.
Executive chairman, Ed Webb, said: “It was a fantastic day at Webbs. The crowds loved seeing Father Christmas and the magnificent reindeer and the 3D cinema proved a huge hit with customers. There was a real feeling of festive spirit.”
Cinema tickets are available in store from Webbs, Wychbold. Tickets are £6 children (two - 16 years), adult ticket £3, under 2s free. £1 from every child's ticket purchased will be donated to The Greenfingers Charity to help build a garden at Acorns Children's Hospice in Selly Oak.
There will be more chances to meet the reindeer in December from Saturday 19 to Thursday 24. They will be at Webbs from 11am to 4pm on those days, except Christmas Eve when they need to leave at 3pm for their important work helping Santa deliver presents.
Visitors can also follow the special illuminated trail through the popular Riverside Gardens during the festive season. The free trail is being specially lit from 3pm.
