A TEA party and bake sale is being held at a pet shop in Droitwich next week.

The Blue Cross pet charity shop in St Andrew’s Street, is hosting a Paws for tea event raising money for homeless pets, on Saturday, May 27.

Staff at the shop will be dressing as Second World War land girls, and have also been donning their aprons to bake cakes for the sale.

The money raised at the event will be going towards the care of sick and homeless pets cared for by Blue Cross animal hospitals and rehoming centres across the country.

The party takes place between 10am and 4pm.

Nicky Carr, Blue Cross shop manager said: “Paws for Tea is the perfect excuse for a catch up over a cup of tea and a slice of cake, at the same time raising funds to help pets in need.

"We hope to see lots of visitors come along – it is through events like this that we can help thousands of pets each year and we are grateful to all those who join us.”

Pet lovers across Worcestershire are being invited to host their own tea parties for needy pets at Blue Cross.
