THESE dramatic pictures show the damage caused in a crash between a lorry and a car on the M5.
The crash happened at rush hour on Wednesday between junction 4 at Bromsgrove and junction 3 at Halesowen.
One lane was closed overnight in both directions while workers repaired the concrete central reservation which had suffered severe damage.
One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries but no other injuries were reported.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance said: "We were called at 5.15pm to reports of an RTC.
"We had two ambulances on scene and we took a patient with minor injuries to Sandwell Hospital."
Highways England tweeted: "The barrier did prevent a potential cross over so it's done it's job, however it is now in great need of repair."
The crash led to delays stretched back on the motorway to Droitwich and Worcester with drivers advised to use alternative routes.
