A DROITWICH woman is hosting a Big Pink Party Night at Droitwich Working Men’s Club this month to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

34-year-old Anne Hall is supporting the charity, because she says she wanted to give something back after several of her friends and family members received treatment for breast cancer.

Anne, who works as a driver for the Blue Door Group taxi service, said: “My friends and I are very excited to help raise funds which will help many more people who need support through such a sad and traumatic time in their lives being diagnosed with breast cancer.”

The party night, which is taking place on Friday, October 23, will include a disco, karaoke, several raffles, and competitions including guessing the weight of a cake, and guessing how many sweets are in a jar.

Anne added: “We're hoping to have a good turn out and would like to thank all the local companies for their support in donating all the raffle prizes.”

Natalie Lloyd, fundraising officer at Breast Cancer Care, added: “We’re so grateful to Anne for holding a Big Pink event in aid of Breast Cancer Care. We rely on supporters like Anne to ensure we can continue to provide our vital information and emotional support network for free. We help thousands of people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer. With one in eight women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, there has never been such an urgent need for our support services.”
