DROITWICH residents are being invited to celebrate a landmark in British history together this September with a strawberry cream tea.
The Droitwich Spa Area Forum for Older People is organising the cream tea to mark the point at which Queen Elizabeth will become the longest reigning monarch in British history.
Jill Edwards from the forum, said: “On the 9th September Queen Elizabeth II will have been on the throne for 63 years and 217 days exceeding the previous longest reign that of her great great grandmother Queen Victoria. Everyone who wishes to celebrate this special occasion is most welcome.”
The strawberry cream tea is taking place on Thursday, September 10 from 2-4pm at Tea Cups Cafe in Gurneys Lane, and will cost £4 per person.
